2006 is the inaugural year for Shree Gurudeva PU College Belthangady. Under the Leadership of a well known personality of out state and a great visionary Mr. K. Vasantha Bangera along with 11 dynamic trust members, this instution aims at imparting quality education at reasonable fee structure for all the communities, It is the dream of our institution to mould the youth into responsible citizens of India in all ways.
Shri Gurudeva PU College has a campus spanning over 5 acres in the lush green surroundings of the Somavathi river banks. The institution is notable for its rural setting and scenic background. It is located in Belthangady Bus Stand on Mangalore-Belthangady-Chikmagalore Road.
A man becomes a scholar only when he acquires complete knowledge which is imparted by a Guru who is equal to god. The aim of this institution also is to encourage and mould the personality of students as to become a scholar.
Our emblem has a base with an opened book in the centre which means that education is open to all. It has a background of sun arising behind a mountain which means that there is always a hope for bright future. There is also God Saraswathi in between two mountains always showering her blessing on us.
Our motto reflects the target of our emblem which stabilises the personality of our institution. Our motto is “Jnanave Belaku” which means –“knowledge itself is light”.
Imparting knowledge which is equalised to light and moulding the personality of students is symbolised by our emblem.
